Why Is Minecraft Story Mode $99.99 On XBox 360?
If you go to the XBox 360 marketplace this week and look up the serialized video game Minecraft Story Mode, you might get a little sticker shock. Okay, more of a lighting bolt frying your brain — $99.99 is the tag. That isn’t the price of the entire series, it’s just one individual chapter. Each chapter costs $99.99 and there are thirteen chapters in all, so to purchase Minecraft Story Mode on the 360 these days, one would need to spend $1,299.87. Just charge it. Why exactly is this game — the digital version, no less — worth so much now? It isn’t. The ridiculous price is more of a preventative measure than an offer. The game is there, but technically Microsoft can’t sell it, and due to the strange way this aging marketplace (founded in 2005) works, this is the only way they can keep people from buying it. Minecraft Story Mode was made by Telltale Games. Telltale Games no longer exists, and their Minecraft license is void. The game was removed from all storefronts at the time of Telltale’s bankruptcy, save one. Guess which one. What Microsoft is doing here is actually an old retail trick. Whenever a

Early Prototype Discovered on XBox 360 Dev Kit
An unsanctioned peek at the early development stages of a video game is always interesting, even if that game is Ryse: Son of Rome, the failed launch title for the XBox One. Though it came out in 2013, the game was in development at Crytek all the way back in 2006, and was originally intended for the XBox 360. And that’s not all… Apparently in early development, Ryse went by the name Codename: Kingdoms (possibly a temp name) and it was a first-person hack-and-slash, not a third-person adventure. The prototype seen in the below video was discovered on a 360 development kit won in an auction. It’s proof that games don’t typically look pretty until they’re nearly complete. https://youtu.be/FYwvQtqiznc The opening cutscene, meant to establish the tragedy that sets this Roman soldier on his mission of revenge, comes off as laughable: two mannequins with almost no animation float up to the player; then a bunch of thuggish piles of polygons barge into the room and throw them around like the rag dolls they are. Having lost his plastic family, your enraged hero takes up his sword and shield. As the demo continues, things get incredibly surreal as the Centurion teleports

The Xbox 360 offerings include platformer Rayman 3 and the first-person shooter Medal of Honor: Airborne. The PopGeeks review of The Turing Test when it first released in 2016 found that it was one of the best puzzle games available on the system, only able to be beaten by the likes of Portal. Created by the same team behind Pneuma: Breath of Life, the puzzler was able to take the criticisms its predecessor had and improve upon almost every aspect.

Injustice 2: New Trailer Features Robin
Warner Bros. Interactiverevealed a new trailer this week showcasing a new character joining the roster for Injustice 2 in Robin. You can check out the new gameplay video for Robin in the player below. Based on the dialogue with Batman, there’s a definite implication that this version of Robin is Damian Wayne, the biological son of Bruce Wayne aka Batman. In the alternate timeline of Injustice, Damian Wayne eventually became Nightwing (the red color version), and had actually killed Dick Grayson, the previous Nightwing and Robin. The dialogue with Batman here definitely references that. He says, “I’m your only son, old man.” Batman replies, “Dick was my son too!” This Robin also wielding a deadly sword also showcases that he’s not Tim Drake or Dick Grayson as he was raised and trained by the League of Assassin under the tutelage of his grandfather, Ra’s al Ghul, and his mother, Talia al Ghul. Injustice 2 is due out on May 16. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is set after the events of the first one, where the alternate Batman becomes victorious in his battle against the Regime. However, a new threat arises and
